As studies showing the role of human and gut microbiome genetics on various diseases and aging are being published in renowned academic journals, investments in advanced microbiome technologies are also actively being made.   

The Microbiome-Based Well-Aging Project Research Center has a source technology that diagnoses the microbiome ecosystem by converting the Korean microbiome’s health age algorithm(Aging clock) and microbiome genome information into big data and predicts the human health age through comparison of conditions by disease.   

For Jeollanam-do, as the origin of natural resources, to become a leading player that revolutionizes the new microbiome industry with the potential of creating high-added value by applying the region's abundant natural resources to the development of bio-health materials, we plan to redesign a new business model to suit the Korean market and to reach a point where we can enter the market within the business term through the commercialization of the necessary core, material, and standardization technologies.   

In the future, the Microbiome-Based Well-Aging Research Center, by creating demands from various industries, will contribute to creating a "future industrial structure cultivated and commercialized by Jeollanam-do" so that personalized microbiome information services can be returned to local residents.
